Not quite a go-kart, not quite a toboggan – mountain carts offer a real adrenaline rush. On these three-wheeled, low-seated vehicles, equipped with hydraulic brakes, the terrain of the Savognin holiday region can be mastered with confidence, even in summer. Fun for the whole family.
The holiday region of Val Surses Savognin Bivio can be found in the heart of Graubünden. Nestled in Parc Ela, the region impresses its summer visitors with much more than just its idyllic hiking trails. Its mountain carts also give the more adventurous among them an opportunity like no other to explore this impressive mountain landscape. This innovative funsport vehicle has been enjoying a surge in popularity for a few years now. With its three wheels and comfortable seat, it guarantees safe riding fun in the great outdoors. Mountain carts can be hired from the valley station directly. The cable car can then be taken up to the Tigignas middle station or all the way up to Somtgant. From both stations, the varied route passes lush meadows and quiet forests on the way back down to Savognin.
For those who prefer travelling on two wheels instead of three, why not take a ride on a monster scooter instead? The thick tyres make it easy to navigate the gravel track and get the better of any small obstacles along the way. Scooters can also be used on two other funsport routes that head off towards Tigia and Parnoz. The view of the idyllic Val Nandro is like no other.
The Somtgant mountain hut offers a variety of wholesome dishes as well as homemade cakes, making it an ideal place for visitors to drink in the views over the valley while fortifying themselves for the next descent. Children will also appreciate the large playground that is available.
