Birds will take food from your hand
Overview
Intro
In Taiswald an experienced guide will tell you what species of bird is feeding from your hand and answer questions about its specific characteristics.
The Taiswald larch and pine forest is not far from Pontresina, at the entrance to Val Roseg. Squirrels skip nimbly between the snowy larches, rocky outcrops and bushes in search of the pine nuts they hid in autumn. Sweet, little birds of all kinds flutter playfully through the air – they certainly don’t feel the cold!
- Meeting point: the feeding station of the Upper Engadin bird sanctuary in the Taiswald, at the turn-off for the bridge on the hiking trail to Val Roseg
- Cost: free of charge
- Registration: not necessary for individual visitors
