Intro

In the run up to the Christmas Season, Lausanne is decked out in splendour. The sumptuously decorated streets sparkle and dazzle colourfully.

Combining an air of magic and sociability, several Christmas Markets welcome visitors in the heart of the city. In addition four night shopping events during which shops stay open late prolong the time available to do your Christmas shopping. At the same time you have the opportunity to see Switzerland’s most beautiful live nativity scene and its moving performance of the nativity.

Visitors can also enjoy hearing choir and gospel performances and meet Father Christmas and his donkey in the streets of the city. And last but not least, there’s the farm animals that provide young and old with great pleasure.
