Intro

The downhill run on this highest slope in the Thyon ski area is a special treat for seasoned skiers who are looking for a real challenge. The views down to the Rhone Valley, the Dent Blanche and the Grande Dixence, Europe’s greatest dam, are quite stunning.

Four valleys, one winter sports arena: The "4 Vallées" comprise Switzerland’s largest ski area. In the easternmost valley, the Val d'Hérémence, there are the broad, sweeping slopes of Thyon. The highest starting point for the descent is at the top station for the Ethérolla chairlift. Looking out from the ridge you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Valais four-thousand-metre peaks. In the upper section, this challenging piste has a considerable gradient, while further down it runs more gently to the chairlift valley station.
