Overview
Intro
The yodelling festival on Alp Bachläger above Grindelwald is a summer highlight with a breathtaking mountain backdrop.
The Bachlägerchilbi takes place on the first Sunday in July. The Chilbi begins at 09.00 a.m. with a rich Älplerzmorge with "urchiger Choscht", which is served until 11.00 a.m.
The mountain sermon with Pastor Barbara von Känel follows at 11.00 am.
Throughout the day there will be a festival restaurant with a variety of food and drinks. A large dessert buffet completes the culinary offer.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Ländler trio Täktig, the Inner-Eriz men's choir and the Grindelwald yodelling club.
The Bachlägerchilbi can be reached as follows:
- The journey to the Bachläger is easy with the Firstbahn. From First, a 30-minute hike leads to the festival grounds. First ascent from Grindelwald: 08.00 hrs.
- Bus: The bus departs from Grindelwald (Bärplatz) directly to the Bachläger.
Departures: Grindelwald - Bachläger: 9.00, 9.30, 10.50, 14.00 hrs.
Return journeys: Bachläger - Grindelwald: 11.20, 14.40, 16.40 hrs.

If the Bachlägerchilbi has to be canceled due to bad weather, the service will take place at 10:00 am in the village church of Grindelwald.
