Bonvillars: Educational truffle-field
Overview
Intro
The educational truffle farm is a unique educational project designed to introduce visitors to truffle growing.
Thanks to the Association “1ère Région Truffière de Suisse” and the Compagnons de la Truffe Vaudoise, the First Educational Truffle Orchard in Europe was created.
An idyllic location at the foot of the Bonvillars vineyards, 14 km from Yverdon-les-Bains, this 6,000 m² plot overlooks Lake Neuchâtel.
The orchard includes 12 tree species and more than 240 trees, planted in 2016 after being mycorrhized.
The visit is led by a truffle cultivation expert, member of one of the truffle associations and your reference person for all questions about this fascinating and mysterious fungus.
The tour lasts approximately two hours and concludes with a light refreshment served near the orchard, featuring selected local products.

* All tours are in French.
* Additional tours can be organised on request during the truffle season, from September to January.
* Equipment: good shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. The tour continues even in bad weather.
* Please note: dogs are not allowed, even on a lead.
* Participants: maximum 20 people (minimum 6 people).
* Online registration and payment required up to 72 hours before the start of the tour.
* The development of the truffle is largely dependent on natural and meteorological factors. In the event of a shortage of truffles and in order to maintain the quality of the service, the organisers reserve the right to cancel the walk.
