Eines Morgens erwacht Gregor Samsa nach einer unruhigen Nacht und stellt fest, dass er sich in ein ungeheures Ungeziefer verwandelt hat. Genauer in einen Käfer. Er wird also nicht das Frühstück für seine Familie vorbereiten und seinem geregelten Alltag nachgehen können …

Im Theater Winterthur finden die Endproben für die Opern-Uraufführung «Die Verwandlung» statt. Im Bühnenbild der Oper lesen wir eine Variation von Franz Kafkas berühmtester Erzählung, die auch für Kinder ab 6 Jahren geeignet ist.
