The Last Drop Day
Overview
Intro
Guided tour of the Grand Bisse d’Ayent (October 16), featuring a tour, anecdotes, and a raclette dinner to wrap things up. Registration required (50 CHF). 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., St-Romain – Pertou.
On October 16, join us for a fun-filled day of discovery along the Grand Bisse d’Ayent, a historic canal dug in the 15th century. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the village of St-Romain, where we’ll welcome you with coffee and croissants. A shuttle will then take us to Les Samarins, the starting point of our walk.
We’ll then follow the bisse trail for a peaceful, guided walk, punctuated by fascinating stories about life along these canals. An exclusive tour of the underground power plant at Les Samarins will enhance this approximately seven-kilometer walk, blending nature, heritage, and fascinating anecdotes.
Upon arrival at the ranger’s cabin in Pertou sous Anzère, we’ll enjoy an aperitif followed by a traditional raclette in a warm, alpine atmosphere.
