Princely Tattoo Parade
Overview
Intro
At the ‘Princely Tattoo Parade’, around 800 participants thrill more than 6,000 spectators each time – with free admission.
The “Princely Tattoo Parade” has been a key part of “The Princely Liechtenstein Tattoo” ever since the second edition of the event. Since 2019, it has taken place in the pedestrianised old town of Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein.
The “Princely Tattoo Parade” allows visitors to enjoy top-class performances – and admission is free. Furthermore, the “Princely Tattoo Parade” is a popular and valued platform for youth bands, music societies and other Liechtenstein and regional associations to present themselves to a large audience.
In total, around 800 participants thrill the more than 6,000 spectators at the “Princely Tattoo Parade”.
Parade
The parade begins on Saturday, 5 September 2026 at 11.00 am at the Town Hall in Vaduz and winds its way through the traffic-free old town to Peter-Kaiser-Platz.
Grand Finale
As the grand finale of the “Princely Tattoo Parade”, all participants will gather on Peter-Kaiser-Platz – flanked by the Government and Parliament buildings – for a joint open-air concert bursting with musical energy.
Individual open-air concerts
Following the official part of the “Princely Tattoo Parade”, the participating music groups will perform open-air concerts on Peter-Kaiser-Platz and at several locations throughout the old town.
Alpine cattle drive
The cows from the Pradamee Alp are expected to arrive in the old town at around 2.00 pm.
Catering
There are several food and drink stalls on Peter-Kaiser-Platz.
In addition, the 2026 Food Festival, featuring numerous top chefs, will take place on Rathausplatz at the same time as the ‘Princely Tattoo Parade’. For further information, visit https://www.genussfestival.li
