Quartier libre
Overview
Intro
Invited to take on the Le Pommier project, the Académie de Meuron embraces the concept of “Quartier libre” as a space to be brought to life rather than simply filled.
Invited to take over Le Pommier, the Académie de Meuron embraces the concept of “Quartier libre” as a space to be activated rather than filled. Behind the apparent freedom lies a place, a stage, and a memory with which to engage.
Students from the School of Visual Arts and Design explore this tension between constraint and openness. Their proposals unfold as experiments: fragments, gestures, and forms in the making.
Here, the theater becomes a testing ground, where the exhibition takes shape by listening to the space and embracing the risk of not defining everything.
