Work & Bike'n'Hike Week
Overview
Intro
Pleasure and work in one
After the successful fourth edition of the Work & Bike'n'Hike Week in summer 2025, the municipality of Lenk, Lenk-Bergbahnen, and Lenk-Simmental Tourism are organizing a volunteer week this year to improve the hiking infrastructure in Lenk. In addition to mountain bikers, hikers are also warmly invited, in keeping with the motto "together under the paths".
The trail construction professionals from Vast Trails will provide you with tips and tricks for user-friendly and low-maintenance trail building. You will learn the basic techniques of trail construction and can apply them directly on a section of the trail.
However, the shoveling and pickaxing will also be rewarded: For half of the time, you will be working on trail building, while for the other half of the day you can enjoy the region as vacation guests, having fun on the many paths and enjoying the beautiful landscape of the Lenk-Simmental region. As a reward, a free overnight stay including half board awaits you. To conclude the week in a cozy manner, we invite all participants to a joint barbecue evening at Lake Lenker on Thursday evening. Participants will also receive mountain railway tickets for the whole week (Monday to Friday) and admission to the Wallbach adventure pool.

All places for the year 2026 are already fully booked. If you are interested, registration will be possible again in 2027.
