Intro
Globus has been an integral part of Basel city life since 1907. With the freshly refurbished store on Marktplatz, Globus blends its long tradition with future-oriented architecture and innovative retail concepts.
At the end of 2025, the big day finally came: after a three-year remodelling period, the traditional building reopened in a stunning new look. The new department store extends over six floors on which visitors can explore an inspiring selection of around 1000 labels – many of which are exclusive in Basel.
Whether fashion, beauty, home & lifestyle or DELICATESSA Food & Wine: Globus provides inspiration and enjoyment at the highest level – including exciting architecture and culinary highlights. These include the Basel Bakery Kult, DRAFT. Coffee on the rooftop, the Balik Kitchen Bar & Shop and the popular Asia Deli in the basement.
