Neuchâtel clocks in the city of Neuchâtel
Overview
Intro
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Neuchâtel’s pedestrian precinct in 2019, traders, hoteliers, restaurant owners and companies will join together to create a fun visual presentation in the heart of the old town.
"Statues” representing Neuchâtel clocks will be customised by their different buyers and positioned around the pedestrian precinct of Neuchâtel or in other more eccentric places.
As the watchmaking tradition of the region requires, this involves 32 Neuchâtel clocks brightening up and becoming part of the city centre. They are human-sized so visitors will be able to slip inside and use their own arms to indicate the time.
Alongside these visual features there will be a whole series of events and creative animations in the pedestrian precinct and surrounding area.
