Chemin Grands Plans–Grimentz
Overview
Intro
For those who don't like walking uphill, this trail is just the ticket – leading from the mountain station of the Grands Plans down to Grimentz. In several switchbacks, it winds its way partly over the busy ski runs. The leisurely second part leads downhill through the forest.
Description
How about exploring the bustling ski area on foot for a change? That's what this trail, which partly runs near the downhill runs, allows you to do. Take a comfortable chair-lift ride up to the start at the Grand Plan mountain station. The first part of the hike follows along the sledge run. Take in the breathtaking views of the valley floor as you hike through the open countryside.
About midway between the start and the Bendolla mountain restaurant, you can stop for a bite at Alpage du Marais. From there, the road leads in a sweeping arc to Bendolla.
The second part of the descent is calmer. Further downstream towards the north, the trail turns onto an old mule track shortly before the Torrent du Marais. The descent leads through the snowy pine forest and across open terrain. After crossing Route de Beauregard and Roua de la Fontana, your hike ends at the ski lift valley station.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
