Les Etangs de l'Ajoie Bike
Overview
Intro
This mountain bike route offers much variety amidst numerous ponds and wide stretches of cultivated farmland. A day out in the beautiful Ajoie nature, ideal for families thanks to only slight differences in altitude.
Description
The route starts at the flower village of Alle and takes you along the outskirts of some forests in the first part, but also through some thicker forests to the lakes of the Ajoie, which belong to a nature reserve. In Bonfol on the border to France and the Alsatian Jura there is time for a break. Later on the landscape changes completely.
The way back takes you through spacious agricultural farmlands, the fields exactly measured out, the views of never ending horizons, to the south the Jura mountain range.
At an average altitude of 450 m, agricultural farm roads alternate with forest paths, little difference in altitude.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
