Intro
About 3.5 hours takes the round trip hike around the monument of the Diemtigal. On the mountain trail around the Wiriehorn you get the best panoramic view into the Diem-tigtal. A nice opportunity to end the hike is to drive down to the valley with a Trottinet.
Description
The Wiriehorn is particularly well known as a winter resort. However there are a lot of activities to do in Summer. The hike from Nüegg around the Wiriehorn leads through dairy farming areas of the Diemtigtal.
After the short paved road to the Schwarzenberg Alp you go through the meadow towards the end station of the ski lift Tubelfärrich. Underneath the «back» of the Wiriehorn leads a way into the side valley Chirel to the Gurbs Metteberg.
The way upwards to the highest point (2031 above sea level) you will find a great variety of mountain flowers. Downwards through mountain meadows and forests you will reach the Underi Heitere. To finish the round trip hike follow the way to the Nüegg.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
