Stoos Tour
Overview
Intro
The mountain village of Stoos is situated on a small plateau high above the Schwyz basin. Up here there is a short but interesting and varied bike tour with the most fantastic views.
Description
The top station of the Schwyz/Schlattli-Stoos funicular is the departure point for a short bike tour in the car-free village of Stoos. As the tour does not lead into the high Alps, it can be done as early as spring without the risk of having to cross snow fields. Unlike the longer Fronalp tour, it offers even less experienced mountain bikers the opportunity of exploring the wonderful mountain world of Central Switzerland by bike.
In Stoos there are numerous places offering refreshments ranging from cosy restaurants to mini supermarket. The short tour is ideally combined with a trip on the chairlift to the Fronalpstock.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
