Intro

The valley museum is housed in a typical central Graubünden farmhouse dating back to 1580. The exhibits are mainly from Schams and bear witness to living and working in the valley in earlier times.

Here you can find out how the local people used to live. Everyday historical artefacts bear witness to the time when there was no electricity and hay still had to be carried down to the valley on foot or lugged over the snow. The Schams Valley Museum is in a typical farmhouse with a big barn door; it is open from July to August.
