This activity is somewhere between rambling and mountaineering, and is suitable for both children and adults.
The Tière Via Ferrata is 460 metres long and 125 metres high, and the rock face is at a 75 degree angle. The route passes over waterfalls (via footbridges) in three places.
The special Via Ferrata trail provides an easy route from Champéry and Val d'Illiez to the beginning of the climbing path. It consists of rungs fixed to the rock, and a safety belt attached to a cable protects the climbers form potential falls. It is recommended to do the tour together with a local mountain guide.
