The Wisenberg Tower is located at over 1000 meters above sea level and a striking landmark in the area. It offers beautiful panoramic views across the Basel and Mittelland regions.
The Wisenberg is topped by a 24.5-meter viewing tower with spectacular panoramic views when the weather is clear: to the north the hills of the Jura range with the Vosges mountains and the Black Forest in the background, and the Fricktal valley and the Aargau part of the Jura to the east. The views in southern direction include Froburg castle, the Mittelland region and the Alps, while the Jura range with Belchen and Passwang continues in the west. The tower is a popular destination for hikers, walkers and bicycle riders. Four panoramic panels provide additional information about the surrounding area. The tower is easy to reach on foot or by bicycle. A large fire pit with a grill is available nearby.
