This itinerary combines two of the most popular hikes in Switzerland. The hikes along the railway embankement of the Lötschberg train line offers amazing views on the viaducts and leads past small streams and over suspension bridges towards the Great Aletsch Glacier. An alpine landscape of rock and ice awaits you here and enchants you with superb views on the glacier and its surrounding peaks. The hike ends with a walk towards the typical mountain village Bellwald, where you can again enjoy views on the snowy peaks of Valais.
