As darkness falls, it's time for the night watchmen: with horn, lantern, and halberd, they protect the town's respectable citizens from thieves and rogues. On this one-hour tour through the nighttime streets of Winterthur, you'll experience firsthand what life was like for the night watchmen in the 18th and 19th centuries. Note: The city tour starts at Merkurplatz at 9 pm. The walk is only conditionally suitable for children under ten years of age.

Dressed in historical costumes, Winterthur city guides will take you to special places and tell you about the work of night watchmen in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Note: The tour runs from October to March. The city tour always starts at 9 PM. The walk is only conditionally suitable for children under ten years of age.
