Intro

Forest bathing is a gentle, guided, half-day relaxation program in nature. It is organized in the parks of Basel (mostly in the Merian Gardens) and in the forests around Basel. By experiencing nature, it promotes health and is a simple relaxation technique.

Forest bathing is a research-based approach to wellness inspired by the Japanese "shinrin-yoku", which literally means forest bathing. The practice offers the opportunity to promote physical and mental health and balance the stress of hectic everyday life through intensive immersion in nature. Forest bathing is a gentle, guided sensory experience with thought- and body-oriented exercises that help to reconnect with nature in silence. A simple technique for relaxation, self-care and healthy living.
