Natural history museums

Since 1996 the Fishing Museum of the Canton of Glarus has been housed a section of the cantonal fish breeding facility.

A tour of the Natural History Museum is like an expedition into the remotest corners of our planet where the most beautiful minerals originate, or into the distant past when dinosaurs ruled the earth.

The Muggio Valley was once very nearly abandoned, but precisely because the locals place importance on their past, it now lives on into the future as an open-air museum.
