Gamaret / Garanoir
Intro
These two new hybrids from Gamay and Rechensteiner, which are called Gamaret or Garanoir, depending on the clone, are among the newer types of wine. Being grapes that ripen early, they yield harmonious red wines with the aroma of blackberries and pepper. They are rich in tannin and intensely colorful.
Overview
Excellent rosé wine from Geneva is also pressed from the Gamay and Pinot Noir grapes. Just like the red wines, they must undergo wine-must fermentation, but with an interruption in the process, so that less color and tannin are extracted at the end.
