Schwellisee
Overview
Intro
Fantastic circular tour in Arosa. Taking in four mountain lakes, this tour offers a lot of nature experiences for all. And the single track on the panorama path above Lake Schwelli is a delight to ride along.
Description
The tour starts in Arosa and proceeds via the Scheitenböden to the Prätschli. From there a leisurely ride along the Arlenwaldweg with a fabulous view towards Medergen takes you to the middle station. At sunset this is a particularly impressive, not-to-be-missed experience. The route continues to ascend consistently until there is a brief descent after passing under the Carmenna chairlift.
After the descent, follow a wide forest path to the lake Schwellisee, which is circled clockwise. From the idyllic mountain lake, the trail climbs steeply up to the Arve. After a short stretch on the hiking trail, the route turns left and leads on the mountain bike track to the Hörnli Trail. Then enjoy the flow trail and shortly afterwards the single trail descent to the Bärenbad.
Just before you reach the Alteiner Waterfalls the route takes you right through the middle of the wild and natural Isla to the reservoir and the final ascent to Arosa.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
