With his knowledge, stories, and telescope, he brings the often shy birds closer to nature enthusiasts. Participants get to know various bird species, receive answers about their behavior, and learn how they can support wild birds – all from the perspective of the animals and with all their senses.

Overnight in the bubble hotel of the Kartause Ittingen

Nestled in an idyllic setting surrounded by the estate’s own vineyards, orchards, and the untouched Thur river landscape, this place radiates both tranquillity and quiet strength. The former Carthusian monastery has been authentically preserved and today houses the Thurgau Art Museum, the Ittingen Museum, a diverse estate operation, and expansive gardens. Guests can explore Kartause Ittingen at their own pace using audio guides along four themed trails through gardens, nature, and history. Guests can stay in cosy garden rooms with a balcony or terrace – or enjoy a truly unique experience in the Bubble Hotel right in the heart of nature.

Bee workshop in the Hotel Uto Kulm

At Hotel Uto Kulm, groups have the opportunity to take part in a custom-designed bee workshop. Directly on the hotel grounds, experienced beekeepers offer fascinating insights into the world of honeybees.
Participants gain insightful knowledge about bees, taste fresh honey straight from the hive, and round off the workshop with an enjoyable aperitif or meal.

Sustainability and biodiversity are deeply rooted in the DNA of the rocksresort. Another step in this direction is the resort’s own herbal tea, with plants growing on the rooftops. There, well protected and under ideal conditions, not only do leaves and blossoms for the “rockstea” thrive, but a valuable habitat for insects and pollinators is also created.
Throughout the summer, the plants are harvested, dried, and carefully handcrafted into a fine blend of 21 herbs.

Beekeeping workshop in The Alpina Gstaad

The bee workshop takes place directly on the hotel grounds and invites participants to experience the fascinating world of bees and honey production up close. In 45 minutes, guests learn all about the honeybee and its home at The Alpina Gstaad in a playful way, together with the local beekeeper Stefan Neuhaus – from honey production to the needs of these hardworking little helpers.
