Bounè Rodzo winter park
Overview
Intro
Deep in the forest in the heart of the Charmey ski region is a winter park with plenty of varied activities for young and old alike. Bounè Rodzo is the name of this winter oasis, which is open free of charge to sledding, skiing and snowshoe fans. A unique, fun experience to enjoy with family or friends!
The park is named for Bounè Rodzo, a local imp who helps out mountain farmers during the winter season. Bounè Rodzo came up with the idea of building a family-friendly, social place in his home in order to help people beat the winter blues.
Children and adults alike can look forward to eight different activities here and enjoy snowtubing, footgolf, bowling and swings among other things. But that’s not all – there’s plenty to amuse the younger age group as well: there’s a slide, fishing and even cowbells to throw snowballs at. The picnic benches complete with fire pits are the perfect place to enjoy time together during your visit.
Location
This family paradise is located around 2 kilometres from Vounetz upper station. It is easily accessible from the upper station by sled, on skis along a blue slope or even on snowshoes. You can also rent sleds directly at the upper station. Once your visit is over, you can continue on to La Scie. From here, the whole family can take the chair lift back to the upper station.
Important information
Entry to the park is free and it is open every weekend and on Wednesdays during the winter season and every day during the school holidays. As opening depends on snow conditions, however, hours may vary from year to year.
Children must be supervised by their parents/guardians. Activities are free of charge for visitors, but please be aware that visitors engage in activities at the park solely at their own risk.
