Intro

The Congress Centre in the city centre of Biel/Bienne, with its architecture from the 1950s and 60s, renovated in 2001/2002, is a major feature of the city. Under its impressive suspended roof, an amazing range of cultural and commercial events take place, everything from fitness to leisure activities.

The Congress Centre is a major architectural feature of modern Biel. Designed by Max Schlup and built between 1961 and 1966, it was renovated in 2000 - 2002 by Rolf Mühlethaler. Its suspended roof is one of Europe’s largest. The Congress Centre serves as a conference centre, concert hall and also boasts an indoor pool and fitness facility. The tower houses several offices.
