Open-i - The Swiss Innovation Platform
Overview
Intro
The Conference brings together the key players in Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem: leading SMEs, start-ups, investors, corporates, academia, policymakers and the next generation of talent.
We are Switzerland‘s leading Innovation Enabler, building bridges between Science and Business. Open-i brings together the key players in Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem: leading SMEs, start-ups, investors, corporates, academia, policymakers and the next generation of talent.
The focus is on exchange, inspiration and tangible collaboration. Open-i shows how scientific insights can become new business models, market-ready solutions and entrepreneurial progress. By connecting knowledge, capital, technology and entrepreneurship, Open-i strengthens Switzerland’s position as a leading hub for innovation.
AI & Robotics
Intelligent systems are transforming the way companies manufacture, cities operate and people work. Robotics, humanoids, physical AI, deep learning and autonomous systems are creating new opportunities – from more efficient processes to new forms of collaboration between humans and machines. As these technologies become more autonomous, one question becomes increasingly important: how can they be integrated into everyday life safely, meaningfully and responsibly?
Defence & Space
Geopolitical tensions, cyber risks and fragile infrastructure are making technological sovereignty a strategic priority. Cyber security, trusted infrastructure, quantum technologies and space technologies can strengthen resilience, reduce dependencies and help protect critical systems. How can Europe combine security, innovation and the ability to act over the long term? And what role can Switzerland play?
Energy & Fusion
The energy transition requires more than new sources of power. It depends on stable grids, flexible storage and intelligent control systems. Smart grids, renewable energy, industrial transformation and new approaches such as fusion can help combine security of supply, efficiency and sustainability. The key question is whether technological solutions can scale fast enough to deliver impact at a meaningful level.
Health & Lifestyle
Health is becoming more preventive, personalised and data-driven. Longevity, prevention, food tech, performance tech, sports and biotech are opening up new pathways to a better quality of life, improved healthcare and healthier everyday choices. The central question is how these innovations can become trustworthy, accessible and effective enough to truly reach people.
