GoldenPass Panoramic
Overview
Intro
A train journey along the GoldenPass Panoramic route reveals the multifaceted beauty and cultural diversity of Switzerland. Experience this as you travel on either the modern GoldenPass Panoramic or the nostalgic GoldenPass Belle Epoque from French-speaking Montreux to German-speaking Zweisimmen.
The panoramic trains start their journey between Zweisimmen and Montreux. One picturesque view follows the next, as if the passing landscape had been specially designed for the panoramic journey: cows grazing on lush green meadows, traditional wooden chalets and the tall peaks of the Alps in the background. Shortly before reaching Montreux, you get a fantastic view of glittering Lake Geneva. As the train meanders down the hill at a leisurely pace, you will already start to feel the Mediterranean flair of the Lake Geneva region.
Both the GoldenPass Panoramic and the GoldenPass Belle Epoque travel along a stretch of the former GoldenPass Line that’s part of the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland.
