The Mineral Bath & Spa Rigi Kaltbad at a glance
The Mineralbad & Spa Rigi Kaltbad is located at 1433 metres above sea level on the Rigi and continues a bathing tradition of over 600 years. You can bathe in the mineral-rich spring water of the Three Sisters Fountain, heated to 35 degrees Celsius. The pool is designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta and is open daily.
What to experience
Baden in the indoor and outdoor pools
From the large indoor pool, you glide out into the outdoor pool, where you have an unobstructed view of Lake Lucerne and the Alps. Massage jets, bubble seats and neck showers ensure relaxation in the water. A herbal steam bath and a lounging zone round off the bathing area.
- Good to know: The spa area is accessible from the age of 16.
- Tip: From Vitznau you travel by cogwheel railway, from Weggis by cable car.
Spa, sauna and massages (2-3 hours)
In the quieter spa area you will find a crystal bath, a bio sauna and a herbal steam bath. Massages and body treatments complete the offer. In the bistro you can fortify yourself with drinks and small dishes before or after the bath.

Arrival and hike on the Rigi
With the cable car from Weggis you can reach Rigi Kaltbad in 10 minutes, with the cogwheel train from Vitznau in 20 minutes. Both lifts stop directly at the Mineralbad & Spa. From Rigi Kaltbad you hike on the 7-kilometre-long panorama trail to Rigi Scheidegg or on the Kaltbad trail down to Weggis.
- Good to know: Rigi Kaltbad is car-free – arrival is only possible by train or cable car.
