Who wouldn't want to experience the thrill of the deer's roar at least once? We give you the chance to do so during this weekend. You'll discover the biology and habits of the deer. The Aletsch Forest, adorned in its autumnal splendor, echoes with deep rumblings as stags vie for the attention of females. It's no surprise, then, that the rutting season isn't always peaceful. As part of a hike through the Aletsch Forest and a dawn tracking session, we'll set out in search of the forest king. We'll learn about this majestic animal and, with a bit of luck, may even witness it roaring. Participants are expected at the center between 1:00 PM and 1:45 PM on Saturday. After a welcome address, we'll embark on a several-hour hike through the Aletsch Forest, where we'll explore the habitat of the red deer. On Sunday at dawn, we'll head out to listen to the stag's roar. With a bit of luck, we may observe rutting deer. The weekend will conclude around 10:00 AM, after breakfast.
