Week-end "The roar of the stags"

The roar echoes through the autumnal Aletsch Forest as stags compete once more for the favor of the hinds. That this is not always a peaceful affair goes without saying. On a hike through the Aletsch Forest and a dawn stalk, we set out in search of the kings of the Aletsch Forest. We learn fascinating facts about their behavior, and with a bit of luck, we may even witness them during the rut. On Saturday between 1:00 PM and 1:45 PM, participants meet at the center. After a welcome, we embark on a several-hour hike through the Aletsch Forest, during which we explore the stags' habitat. On Sunday at daybreak, we head out to listen to the roaring of the red deer. With a bit of luck, we may also observe the rutting stags.
