Description

The Glocke is a two-season hotel in the Goms in the uppermost part of the canton of Wallis. In winter the Goms offers good opportunities for winter walks and is a paradise for cross-country skiers. Summer visitors can enjoy an excellent range of walking and cycle trails. The hotel prides itself on wholesome vegetarian and meat dishes. The hotel lounge has plenty of games. Whether holidaying as an individual or among like-minded people, it is the ideal venue. Own house newspaper. Once a week an “Aabesitz” evening of Wallis storytelling and music is held.

Getting there

Our hotel is easy to reach with public transportation and is only a 5-minute walk from the Reckingen train station. By train, you can take the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn via Visp/Brig or via Goschenen/Andermatt. In summer you can reach us by car using the mountain passes of Nufenen, Furka or Grimsel. From the west use the Lötschberg tunnel to Brig, and then on to Reckingen, or come by way of Lausanne-Brig-Reckingen. In winter you can reach Goms and Reckingen by car train through the Furka tunnel. We are 173 km from the Zurich airport and 241 km from Geneva.
