The stately trees and broad promenade are picture perfect at any time of the year. All three of the parks in Rheinfelden are popular spots for snapping photos as they are located directly on the Rhine and offer a wonderful view of the old town.

Sun, sand and – shores: on the southern shore of Lake Neuchâtel, summer brings a holiday feeling. This area, which is rich in biodiversity and mostly protected, has several bathing beaches that can compete with well-known beaches worldwide thanks to the white sandy beaches, turquoise-blue waters and water sports activities on offer.

Estavayer-le-Lac is a medieval town situated beside Lake Neuchâtel and is home to the best-equipped watersports centre in Switzerland.The highlight is a ride on the 800-metre long water skiing lift - Switzerland’s longest.

The Seebad lakeside baths offer perfect seasonal bathing pleasure in the heart of the city of Lucerne. It is open for swimmers until 8 p.m. in summer, after which it is dedicated to restaurant-goers for the rest of the evening. As well as bathing, swimming, and sunbathing, massage and yoga are also available.

Just a few minutes from the city centre, shady green spaces, tall trees and a pebble beach offer the perfect spot for fun in the water and relaxation. Walking trails wind their way through the expansive lawned areas, and the view of the Bernese Alps is simply marvellous.

In Arosa, at an altitude of 1,800m, families will discover something usually only found at the seaside – a lovely little sandy beach where the whole family will want to stay. Bathing by the Untersee was originally reserved for men; until 1920, the ladies had to make do with the colder water of the Obersee (upper lake)...

The “Ufschötti” – the extensive expanse of greenery by the lake – is the place half of Lucerne heads for in the summer A 200-metre-long strip of sandy beach gives all its visitors real seaside vibes.

Two pontoons floating on the water like a raft provide a mixed and women’s-only pool, both with lake access and magnificent views of the Alps.

Swim in the river? Yes, in Zurich you can! The Unterer Letten and Oberer Letten river bathing facilities provide swimming channels in the Limmat River.

It’s finally time to head to the beach in Geneva! Eaux-Vives Beach raises the bar, with superb views of the Jet d’Eau water fountain and its new “Anneau Aquatique” ring-shaped platform right over the water, which is a lovely spot to relax.

Lucerne’s lido sits on the shores of Lake Lucerne, spanning a length of over 300 metres.
