The lodge sits majestically on a rock 45m above the village. Passing through a tunnel, guests come to a lift rising up through the rock to the lobby at almost 1,650m above sea level. The hotel has 30 rooms, including 12 suites, as well as a library, a restaurant with open fireplaces, a lounge bar, a boardroom, the Caverne bar and two sun terraces high above the rooftops of Zermatt. Wellness area with views of the Matterhorn.

Since 2006, THE OMNIA Mountain Lodge perches on a cliff in the centre of Zermatt, right next to the renowned mountain called the Matterhorn. Here you can forget time, where you are from, where you are going. Enjoy life with all your senses. Here on a rock surrounded by the mountains, witnesses to an era that unfolded with primordial force millions of years ago. THE OMNIA’s interior design was inspired by its alpine surroundings. Here, classic design elements from a number of eras go hand in hand with more modern looks created especially for the resort. There are no flamboyant design scene trends and no garish colors. Instead, impeccable attention to detail makes for a warm and nurturing setting.

Urban lifestyle in Zermatt with unobstructed views of the Matterhorn and world-class architecture: 30 individual rooms and 12 suites, stylish and with every comfort. Some with their own fireplace. At over 100m2, the Omnia Roof Suite comprises a fireplace, sauna, Bose sound system and Swarovski binoculars for a closer look at the Matterhorn in comfort. In-room dining, the premium version of room service, is available on request. Luxurious wellness facilities boast a panoramic window, heated indoor and outdoor pool, and a whirlpool with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn.

Boutique & Design Hotels and Lodgings

A contemporary interpretation of the traditional mountain lodge, designed by New York architect Ali Tayar. Materials and craftsmanship from the Valais blend with furnishings in the American modernist style. The Caverne bar is carved out of the rough granite. A glazed stainless steel structure fills the cave, suspended above spring water. Black stone, steel, glass and wood dominate the space.
