Bendolla and Corne de Sorebois
Hint
Intro
The name Anniviers supposedly stems from the Latin "ad nives" (to the snow). And indeed, the eternal snow of the Valais Alps is not far from here!
Bendolla and Corne de Sorebois at a glance
At the far end of the Val d'Anniviers valley you get closer and closer to the highest mountains. From Grimentz mountain rail ascends to the Alp Bendolla at 2129 meter altitude, from where views look across to the Dent Blanche. And certainly worth it from here is the hike to the Pas de Lona.
From Zinal cable rail travels up to the Alp Sorebois at 2438 meter altitude. A climb here up to the ridge or the Corne de Sorebois is rewarded with amazing views.
