Dams in Wengen

Skiing vacations in the fabulous Jungfrau Region are a unique experience and the answer to everybody’s skiing dreams. While the youngest of the guests frolic in the “Swiss Snow Kids Village“ in the heart of Wengen, advanced skiers enjoy the inimitable panorama of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.

When you go whizzing down very close to the famous Lauberhorn downhill run you will feel a bit like Didier Cuche or Carlo Janka – except that you’re tobogganing and not skiing.

Follow the Lauberhorn descent on foot to get an idea of what racers confront as they master the curves with speeds of up to and over 100 kilometers an hour.

You can take the cable car from Wengen to the 2343-meter-high Männlichen in just a few minutes. Once at the top, a unique view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau awaits you. A short marked hiking trail leads to the summit.

Heroes triumph here, and sometimes they also fail: The Lauberhorn Run has been the scene of all kinds of fates and emotions. At 4.5 km, it is the longest and most demanding World Cup downhill course. However, it is also suitable for experienced amateurs.
