Overview

Intro

The skiing and hiking areas in Rougemont are known for their gentle slopes, among other things. Not so the La Videmanette mountain surrounding the “le Rubi” limestone stack. This a a genuine alpine area.

Summer Highlights

In summer, the terrace at Berghaus La Videmanette offers breathtaking views of the Bernese and Vaud Alps. The three via ferrata routes, ranging in difficulty from K1 to K5, offer challenges for climbers of all levels, from beginners to advanced. The climb is well worth the effort, with panoramic views from the summit of the “Rublihorn.” Hikers can enjoy an extensive network of mountain trails that extend beyond linguistic and cantonal borders. Between La Videmanette and Eggli, there are numerous alpine pastures where local farmers bring their livestock to graze during the summer.

Winter Highlights

The ski area between Eggli and La Videmanette is particularly well-suited for those seeking a leisurely experience. The focus here isn’t on the number of kilometers of slopes. Rather, visitors can enjoy the tranquility and the impressive landscape with its perfectly groomed slopes. Various restaurants and bars along the slopes invite you to relax and unwind after your run.
