Jura Bike
Overview
Intro
The predominantly forested Jura heights stretch from Basel to Lac Léman. In between lies a bewitchingly varied landscape with remote valleys, lush meadows, rushing rivers, small lakes and countless biking routes.
Description
Remote valleys, lush meadows, rushing streams and two nature parks are the features that characterise the Jura mountains between Basel and Lake Geneva. This tour combines every different type of scenic jewel. From Delémont it runs via the Col des Rangiers on the Doubs and continues to the Franches Montagnes (Freiberge) with their famous horses. From Mont Soleil to the UNESCO World Heritage cities of La Chaux-de-Fonds/Le Locle the connoisseur’s route continues through the Val de Travers to the “Balcon Vaudois” with views of Lake Neuchâtel and the Alps, followed by the descent from the Col du Marchairuz to Nyon.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
