Day 1 – Chinese wedding tradition

The wedding ceremony, which took place in a very intimate circle in the registry office of the historic Zunfthaus zur Waag, as well as the subsequent tea ritual in the picturesque Chinagarten in Zurich were the highlights of the first day. One had the feeling of being in another world and the bridal couple and the guests were completely immersed in the Chinese wedding tradition and enjoyed the unique flair in the palace of the Chinese Garden. It was simply overwhelming and there was no better place for the couple than here.

Day 2 – western wedding tradition

The second day was all about the western wedding tradition. The bride and her bridesmaids were allowed to enjoy the getting-ready in the imposing rooms of Villa Wenkenhof in Riehen and the invited guests experienced an unforgettable free wedding ceremony in the immaculately maintained French garden of the villa, surrounded by lush greenery and magnificent sculptures, fountains and architectural masterpieces.

In the evening, a fine multi-course meal was served in the beautiful and spacious hall of the Volkshaus Basel. The early summer evening was accompanied by inspiring saxophone sounds. After dinner, the party went on until late into the night at the Volkshaus in Basel.

The dreamlike architectures of the locations as well as the perfect possibility to combine Chinese and Swiss traditions were decisive for the choice of these places.

The most memorable moment

The most unforgettable moment of the wedding were definitely the three wedding ceremonies: The registry office, the Chinese tea ceremony in Zurich and the free wedding ceremony in the garden of Villa Wenkenhof. The emotions and tears of joy were omnipresent and overwhelming every time. The wedding planner perfectly planned the event flow of this complex wedding, so that the couple could just let go and enjoy the wedding weekend. All other service providers also contributed significantly to making this celebration unforgettably beautiful and perfect.

Why Switzerland

The couple looked at many locations and the combination of the villa with the Volkshaus was just perfect. For the Chinese ceremony, the couple could not think of a better place than the Chinese Garden in Zurich. The gorgeous Villa Wenkenhof with its beautiful park is simply a feast for the eyes and made for a fairytale wedding.
