Rinerhorn / Sertig
Overview
Intro
The adventurous tour around Rinerhorn to the famous Sertig Valley is known for its smoothly flowing downhill parts and the pleasant uphill sections make this tour enjoyable for anybody.
Description
From Davos Platz the route takes the bike path in the direction of Davos Frauenkirch. Near Islen, it swings left and climbs via Wildboden to Heidboden and then to Junkerboden on a slightly rising gravel road.
On a dirt road along the woods, which turns into a single trail at times, you reach Spina. From here the road climbs considerably, especially on the first part, but it flattens out again. Near Jatzmeder, the mountain station of the Rinerhorn gondola, there is a good opportunity for a brief stop at the mountain inn. The route continues slightly uphill to Äbirügg, one of the most attractive photo spots in the Davos region.
A slightly descending and fun single trail forms the basis for the ride all the way to the end of beautiful Sertig Valley. The trail flows smoothly, but you will find it necessary to pedal frequently to have enough momentum. Those who wish can visit the beautiful waterfall at the end of the Sertig Valley or choose to stop in one of the two rustic restaurants in Sertig.
On the way back, a mostly flat, well-built single trail turns off to the right in Sertig Dörfli. It takes us back to Clavadel on the other side of the Sertig Valley and finally to Davos.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
