Introduction

The app includes everything our touring guests need to plan, drive and explore the Grand Tour of Switzerland. You don't have to leave the app to collect information from other websites or apps. All relevant is included in one single app:

Customer Journey

The app is specifically focussing on the decision and planning phase. While MySwitzerland.com is focussing on the awareness of the Grand Tour itself, the app continues the customer journey, by giving the possiblity to plan the journey in a very simple and convenient way. In addition, the app is also supporting the guests during their stay, by providing navigation functionality and an Around Me (Discover) function to explore the surrounding. Last but not least: the app is a key element for the loyalty of the guests: by collecting objects and providing incentives, we want to push the grand tour guests to spend more time on the Grand Tour.

Plan

Start your Grand Tour roadtrip by using the planning feature. Select from predefined templates or create your individual journey. Our guests only need to configure two options: how many days they want to spend on the Grand Tour and if they want to drive more (mode: 'Roadtrip') or explore more (mode: 'Adventurous'). Then the tour is being calculated and the app let the user know, which highlights are included and where to sleep. That's all, it's simple and easy! If you're not happy with the selection, you're able to add or remove highlights as well.

Drive

You're happy with your planning and ready to travel the Grand Tour? Start your journey within the app and we're showing you the next highlights along the Grand Tour and your selected accommodations. With the built-in navigation solution, our guests don't have to leave the app anymore! Simply select the highlight and you will be navigated to the closest parking lot nearby to the highlight. The navigation feature is also able to help you to avoid heavy trafficjam and brings you back to the Grand Tour if you missed a junction.

Explore

You're on the Grand Tour with your electric car and need a charging station? We've included all public e-charging stations nearby you. You feel tired and spontaneously need to to look for an accommodation? The Around me functionality also will help you and show all accommodations nearby. If you want to know where the next Photo-Spot awaits you: use the 'Discover' functionality and you get an overview over all Photo-Spots along the Grand Tour

Collect

Collect all Photo-Spots along the Grand Tour and add them into your personal wallet. You can collect a Photo-Spot by opening the camera and collect it by using an Augmented Reality function. You will receive badges when having multiple Photo-Spots collected and then you can apply for an incentive, by participating on a Sweepstake. But we made it even more fun: You are also able to create your own Grand Tour moments when using the Photo-Spot creator mode: use your camera at a beautiful place and create your own Photo-Spot experience.
