매력적인 33개의 객실을 보유한 호텔 마송은 높은 지대에 자리하고 있는 곳으로 파노라마 풍경을 즐길 수 있는 오래된 심플론 패스(Simplon Pass)에 위치해 있다. 1829년에 지어진 건물은 원래 와인 재배자의 집이었던 곳으로 현재 몽트뢰(Montreux)에서 가장 오래된 호텔이다. 마을 중심과 유명한 시옹 성(Château de Chillon)까지 단 몇 분이면 갈 수 있다.

스위스 역사 호텔

건물에는 오리지널 직물과 인테리어가 모두 잘 보존되어 있다. 천장이 있는 객실을 비롯해 귀족, 역사학자, 철학자, 화가의 발자취가 남아 있는, 오래됐지만 세심하게 청소한 나무로 된 수공예 바닥이 있다.

1999년 « «for the remarkable preservation of the building substance and the interior fittings in the original style reflecting the true charm of this establishment» 상 수상 제네바 호수(Lake Geneva) 위 몽트뢰(Montreux) 교외, 브베(Veytaux)에 자리한 마송 호텔(Masson Hotel)은 유명한 시옹 성(Castle of Chillon) 근처, 유서 깊은 심플론(Simplon) 철도에 위치해 있다. 1850년에 기숙사로 바뀐 후 1970년, 객실이 있는 별관과 두 개의 라운지가 본 건물에 추가되었다. 지금도 작동되는 주방 엘리베이터가 있는 식당은 1911년에 지어졌다. 그 이후로 지금까지 호텔은 동일한 외관으로 남아 있다. 지금의 오너인 앤 마리 세브그랑(Anne Marie Sèvegrand)는 전통적인 외관과 호텔 가구를 보존하기 위해 최선의 노력을 다하고 있다.
