Intro

The Grosses Fiescherhorn is entirely surrounded by glaciers and is a real eye-catcher, in particular because of its impressive steep north face. It lies on the Bern–Valais cantonal border.

한눈에 보는 Grosses Fiescherhorn (4,049m a.s.l.)

In the Bernese Alps, on the Bern–Valais cantonal border, is the Fiescherhorn massif with its three peaks. At 4,049 metres above sea level, the highest of the three is the Grosses Fiescherhorn. It captivates visitors with its 1,250-metre-high and impressively steep north face. The most commonly taken and easiest route takes climbers from the Finsteraarhorn Hut, over the Fieschersattel mountain pass and the southeast ridge. The Grosses Fiescherhorn is entirely framed by glaciers: In the northern part of the Ischmeer lake, in the eastern part of the Fiescherfirn and in the west is the eternal snow field.
