스위스 철도역 시계
1952년, 스위스 철도는 한스 힐피커에게 1944년부터 사용하던 공식 시계의 현대화를 위임했다. 그는 다이얼을 단순화 하고 초침을 추가 했으며, 이는 시계의 특징이 되었다. 빨간 신호 디스크 형태의 초침은 승객이 남은 시간을 더 정확하게 예측하도록 해준다. 철도 직원들이 사용하던 출발 신호 도구를 연상 시키는 빨간 신호 디스크 모양의 초침과 더불어 또 다른 특징으로는 분침이 12에서 잠깐 멈추는 것이다. 2012년 애플 사는 숫자가 없는 기판과 검은 분침, 빨간 철도 신호 같은 초침을 가진 이 유명한 시계 디자인을 카피했다.
