Brodsky Quartett, Dimitri Ashkenazy & Jeremy Menuhin
Overview
Intro
On this special chamber music evening, two musical families come together: Dimitri Ashkenazy, clarinetist and son of pianist-conductor Vladimir, and Jeremy Menuhin, pianist and composer, son of
Two sons, two family stories: Dimitri, the clarinetist, son of Vladimir, the pianist and conductor – and Jeremy, pianist and composer, son of Yehudi Menuhin. Between them: one of the legendary quartets of our time, the Brodsky Quartet, founded in 1972 on the other side of the English Channel – with two of the original members still active. On this grand "family evening" of chamber music, we are expecting, among other things, the world premiere of Jeremy Menuhin's clarinet quintet – a moment that will surely move you.
