IN THE FORESTS OF SIBERIA
Overview
Intro
Choosing solitude to rediscover what truly matters
Leaving behind the noise, the hustle and bustle, and familiar landmarks to venture deep into the vast white expanse of the Siberian forests. This is the radical experience that Sylvain Tesson underwent, living in solitude for several months in a cabin on the shores of Lake Baikal. With rare intensity, William Mesguich brings this now-cult classic to life. Through the power of the spoken word alone, he evokes the landscapes, the cold, the silence—and that slow reclaiming of time. Here, every gesture counts, thoughts stretch out, and words resonate differently. Little by little, what seemed empty becomes full, and solitude transforms into a space of freedom.
