Steven Matthews blends shadow theater and live performance to create a show that enchants young and old alike. A regular at the Usine à Gaz, Steven Matthews returns this time with his very first production, which has since become a true phenomenon. With his signature wit and humor, he plunges us into a kingdom where curiosity is frowned upon. Princess Maylis escapes in the dead of night with Francis, a music-loving peasant. Together, they encounter unlikely characters—a mad old scientist and a witch on the run—before returning home transformed by everything they’ve discovered. Seven performers, spectacular shadows, and original music: this coming-of-age tale explores gender stereotypes, social pressure, and the right to curiosity.
