Transhumance Festival
Overview
Intro
For the third year running, the Naye sheepfold's flock will be transhuming from Mollens to Vercorin.
* From 12 noon: Food and drink stalls: sausages and meat from the sheepfold, raclette.
* From 12 noon: Stalls by Woolis (workshop and wool processing, including the ‘wool trail’, felting, carding and spinning) and Edelalp (sponsor a cow or a sheep).
* Arrival of the flock (over 400 sheep) in the village at around 1.30 pm.
* From 2.30 pm: sheep shearing demonstration, wool spinning with Catherine Lambert, crafts for children with ASCAVE.
* 2.30 pm–3.30 pm: Musical entertainment
Let's give the sheep a warm but gentle welcome... To ensure that everything runs smoothly, please come without your dogs and do not pet the animals or cross the flock.
We ask you to come without your dogs for the smooth running of the event.
Between 1.30pm and 2pm, traffic will be disrupted at certain points for a short time (see map below).
